Jamaican singer-songwriter Etana makes an unexpected move with the release of her full-length dub album, Dubclaat, via her independent label, Freemind Music Records. This latest offering features eleven reimagined versions of her previously released tracks, transforming them into immersive, bass-heavy dub interpretations. Among the reworked selections are songs like Spread Love, 100 On The Highway, and Jah Love, each restructured with the signature elements of dub—echo-laden textures, deep reverb, and pulsing riddims. With Dubclaat, Etana pays homage to her reggae roots while expanding her sonic palette to connect with listeners drawn to the introspective and atmospheric nature of dub. Known for her fearless artistic evolution, this project marks both a return to roots and a step into new creative territory.
