Riddim Dee-Lite - Awesome Sauce

The Awesome Sauce Riddim, created by Sly Dunbar and Handel Tucker, produced by Anthony Red Rose and released through Raggedy Joe Music, brings that proper dancehall juggling energy. You’ve got a whopping 19 tracks here, delivered by 22 artists. And what makes it interesting is the lineup that features real veterans alongside fresh voices, all bringing their own flavor to the riddim.

You’ve got the heavy hitters setting the tone. Beenie Man’s Enjoy Life, Bounty Killer’s Call Center, Pressure Busspipe’s King Son, and No Wi Nuh Punk from Anthony Malvo and Capleton all carry that hard, commanding presence.

But the riddim isn’t one-note. Brian & Tony Gold step in with High On Life, and the whole vibe lifts. Smooth, melodic, and full of feeling. It’s about gratitude, staying positive, and rising above the noise, all wrapped in that timeless reggae soul with a modern bounce.

And if you didn’t know, Brian & Tony Gold aren’t actually brothers. But listen to them and you’d swear they grew up in the same yard. Brian Derek Thompson, born in Birmingham, and Tony Morrison, from Manchester, Jamaica, first crossed paths at the Tastee Talent Competition in Kingston back in 1986. Brian won it twice, Tony placed second. From that moment, you could tell they were meant to link up.

Their harmonies have always been their strength. Tight, natural, and instantly recognizable. And with High On Life, they show us that sound still connects, no matter the generation.
