Dance sensation Wassdemm (di Ballgame King) added a touch of class at the recent video shoot of “Fi Dah Summer Yah,” the latest project for Afrobeat/dancehall reggae artiste Shaka Pow.

The elastic moving dancer was at Payneland with Anna Kay and famous Jamaican dancer Pata Skeng and his team, dancing up a storm with the deejay.

Wassdemm, who is part of Shaka Pow’s Fully Bright dancers, arrived at the venue just two hours after noon on Sunday, August 13, 2023.

The deejay was already on the spot and cameras began to roll at about three o’clock.

Wassdemm explains that “We danced to the song about five times as directed by the video man.”

The other venue was at an entertainment spot in Portmore, St Catherine. The video keeps promoting Wassdemm who is looking forward to an early overseas tour.

“This would definitely help to market my dancing skills and provide some well-needed cash.”

Wassdemm, given name Jerome Dwyer, is from Hope Flats, St. Andrew. The Mavis Bank high school graduate began dancing at age 10, influenced by now deceased Bogle.

“Bogle was my idol in terms of his creativity and his dress code which included glistening clothing and matching jewelry.”

By age 15, Wassdemm was getting the recognition he deserved, appearing on community shows and others such as the Summer Swizzle Roadshow.

He’s also a dance teacher and is greatly involved in the Hope Flats community hosting annual events such as treats for children.
