Emerging from Amsterdam, Netherlands, producer JP Backhouse presents his latest endeavor, a 5-track EP titled Urban Afro Riddim Vol. 1. This project follows the previously released SpaceHall Vol. 1, which he created in collaboration with Jamaican dancehall artist Richie Loop earlier this year. Richie Loop also contributes to Urban Afro Riddim Vol. 1 with the track Searching. In the tradition of the ’90s dancehall scene, this riddim features contributions from various artists, perfect for selectors aiming to juggle it at dances. The Urban Afro Riddim stands out from typical Afrobeat riddims, as JP Backhouse infused his distinctive synths and funky basslines, creating a genuine crossover appeal. Vocalists on this riddim include Richie Loop, Muzar, Xulcha, Sokel, and MC V.E.G.A.
