Delroy Wilson - Kiss and Say Goodbye / Solomon

REISSUE

Ahead of the full album release commemorating the 30th anniversary of Delroy Wilson’s passing, Patate Records, in partnership with producer Rodguel “Blackbeard” Sinclair, has unveiled two singles on digital platforms.

The first, a rendition of the Manhattans’ Kiss And Say Goodbye, was recorded twice by Delroy Wilson for Blackbeard in 1977 and 1980, both in a rockers style. This release features the later version, which will not be included in the forthcoming album. The second single, Solomon, is a reinterpretation of Derrick Harriott’s rocksteady classic, once again crafted in the rockers tradition. Originally released in 1977 on Wilson’s Unedited album, this version presents an alternate mix with a raw, live feel.
