Thug Chemist celebrates ‘Royal Plus Riddim’
Released less than a year ago, the ‘Royal Plus Riddim’ boasts:
Pashon Minott – Trim Trim Trim
Jahvante Campbell – Cry Peace
Rasta Blacspade – Love Over All Things
Magona – Blend And Mend Again
Itrujah – Mi Nuh Waah See Yu
Racquel Sellers – Paradise
Jah Brandish – World Crisis
According to Thug Chemist, “Nothing will ever surprise me about ‘Royal Plus Riddim’. The production is good, and so too is the lyrical content which is authentic reggae.”
“The riddim track was laid by veterans, including Aston “Family Man” Barrett and saxophonist Dean Fraser.”
“The lyrical content of each song has its full merit. For example, Jahvante Campbell’s hit song ‘Cry Peace’ is universal. At the same time, Pashon’s ‘Trim Trim Trim’ continues to be a trendsetter with its controversial lining as there is still discrimination against the wearing of locks.”
“There is also Blacspade’s ‘Love Over All Things’ which reminds one that humanity is the key to a better world for everyone.”
“Promotion and marketing is also important. As such, we try to have a good presence in parts of Africa, mainly Gambia, Kenya, and Senegal.”
“In Europe, the riddim is attracting a lot of listenership in Germany where festivals are held. Social media have helped with regular posting of video clips.”
“The ‘Royal Plus Riddim’ is distributed on all platforms, including Spotify,” Thug Chemist shares.
