Following the split of The Beltones, who achieved success with No More Heartaches under Harry J in 1968, Hal Anthony Lewinson joined forces with Leon Brown and Ladely Brown to establish The Fantells in 1975. The trio released songs such as You Can’t Hide, Ghetto Girl, Everywhere, The One I Love, Where You Gonna Run, Name Of The Game, with their notable single Hooligan for Joe Gibbs emerging as one of their major hits in 1977.

After The Fantells’ musical journey concluded, Hal Anthony Lewinson toured various regions including Europe, Japan, South America, and the Caribbean with The Millennium Band to support his solo endeavors. Seeing the chance to rejuvenate The Fantells, he obtained the go-ahead from the two original members and set about reinventing the group. Alongside new members Glenroy Davey (known as Mr. Pinnacle) and Ted Greaves Jr. (of Roots Uprising fame), they releassed the album Just For You and crafted a fresh version of The Abyssinians’ iconic Satta Massagana. This single from the newly reformed Jamaican roots reggae trio, featuring Hal Anthony Lewinson as their lead singer, songwriter, and guitarist, was created for Selwyn Brown’s Rootical Muzik Productions and launched under Warrior Records.
