Roots And Culture Riddim

NEW RELEASE

German sound system and reggae record label Silly Walks Discotheque has brought back their Roots And Culture Riddim, originally featured as the backdrop for Jesse Royal’s rendition of Mikey Dread’s Roots And Culture on their 2016 released Smile Jamaica album. Silly Walks Discotheque has breathed new life into the horns cut, (known as Jungle Signal), of the timeless riddim which is cherished by many reggae fans for its addictive bassline and tuff horns played by Tan Tan and Rico Rodriguez. Besides the Jesse Royal cut, this release features vocal cuts by Reemah, Jah-Lil, and Inezi. Additionally, there are also dub cuts for each song, created by Kingston-based mixing engineer Gregory Morris.
