Ba Ba Boom Riddim

RIDDIM RELEASE

Reggae Library has recently begun digitally releasing EPs spotlighting riddims from the 2000s, thanks to licensing deals with various record labels. Their latest release showcases three tracks, along with a seamless three-in-one mix, recorded over a reimagined version of the Ba Ba Boom riddim. This much-versioned backdrop was originally used for The Jamaicans’ classic song, Ba Ba Boom, which was crowned the winner of the 1967 Independence Festival Song Competition. The riddim was relicked and produced by Chad Simpson, also known as Mr G, formerly recognized as the dancehall artist Goofy. From the original set of 14 vocal cuts released in 2014, Reggae Library has handpicked three cuts for this EP: Buju Banton’s Dem Lucky, Capleton’s Blue Mountain Peak, and Richie Spice’s Load Up The Chalice.

Tracklist
01. Buju Banton – Dem Lucky
02. Capleton – Blue Mountain Peak
03. Richie Spice – Load Up The Chalice
04. Baba Boom Riddim (Brawta Mix)
