Rhemii Ice, ready for album
Rhemii Ice, still reaping from ‘Read and Write’, is preparing to sow the tracks for her debut album. The MoBay stunner has carefully prepared the soil which is fertile, so the harvest should be bumper.
“I am quite comfortable with my producers Top M Records. They know preparation is the key and so I have taken time off to get my lyrics to fit the riddims. The rest is left to the engineers who are professionals at mixing and mastering. Everything should come together by year-end 2024.”
“I am not leaving any raw patches as we are already looking at marketing the album.”
“I began considering about this album in May 2024. Rather than having my work as single units, I made the decision to have them in one big package, hence the album.”
“Fans will now be able to see my full potential which includes my spice and variety,” she shares.
Without laying everything on the table, Rhemii Ice reveals that she would be doing one or two collaborations, but this would be with established artistes. She is also looking at targeting the ever-growing African market and Europe where reggae fans are increasing.
“My music is uptempo, sometimes raunchy on the edges, but can suit any crowd, even those who pronounced to be disciples of Christ.”
She continues to see both Kingston and Montego Bay as two integral pulses in the music arena.
“Kingston gives one the opportunity to meet all the top producers. However, one needs to have a good presence in their hometown and Mobay is the root of my music,” she adds.
