The Jamaica women’s national football team, affectionately known as the Reggae Girlz, recently achieved a historic milestone in international football. In a stunning display of offensive power, the team secured an 18–0 victory over the Dominica women’s national team in a Concacaf Women’s Qualifier match. This dominant performance, which took place in November 2025, sets a new benchmark for the Jamaican program, marking the highest number of goals the team has ever scored in a single match. The previous record for a World Cup Qualifier was 14–0 against St Lucia in 2014. The record-breaking win immediately positions the Reggae Girlz at the top of Group B on goal-difference as the qualification campaign begins.
A Record-Setting Victory
The Reggae Girlz made their intent clear from the opening whistle. The scoring started almost immediately, and the team showed relentless pressure and effective play throughout the match. By the ten-minute mark, Jamaica had already scored four goals. The momentum continued with goals arriving frequently, resulting in a commanding 10–0 lead by halftime. The team did not ease up in the second half, maintaining a high level of performance to push the final score to an unprecedented 18–0. This result is a strong statement about the current form and goal-scoring ability of the squad.
Shaw Reaches International Milestone
Amidst the team’s record performance, star player Khadija “Bunny” Shaw achieved a significant personal milestone. Shaw delivered a powerful performance, completing a hat-trick in the first half of the game. With these goals, she reached 60 international goals for Jamaica, becoming the first player in Jamaican football history, male or female, to hit that mark. Shaw continues to be the country’s all-time leading scorer, cementing her importance to the team’s ongoing success.

Team Depth and Multiple Goal-Scorers
While Khadija Shaw’s milestone was a highlight, the victory was a true team effort showcasing the squad’s depth. The match featured multiple players achieving hat-tricks, demonstrating widespread offensive capability. Alongside Shaw’s three goals, Kalyssa Van Zanten and Jody Brown also scored hat-tricks.
Other players made significant contributions. Deneisha Blackwood, along with second-half substitutes Natasha Thomas and Shaneil Buckley, all netted two goals each. Defender Konya Plummer also found the back of the net, scoring her first national team goal since 2018. This distribution of scoring across various positions shows the team’s varied attacking options and its hunger to score from the entire roster.
The Road Ahead in Group B
This massive win provides a strong start to the Concacaf Women’s Qualifiers for the Reggae Girlz. The other match in Group B saw Nicaragua defeat Antigua and Barbuda 4–0 earlier in the week. By securing an 18–0 victory, Jamaica instantly takes the lead in the group based on their goal-difference advantage. The focus now shifts to maintaining this momentum as they progress through the qualifying matches, aiming to secure a place in the next major tournament.
