Rasta Blacspade’s ‘Love Over All Things’ hits Spotify Playlist
Rasta Blacspade’s ‘Love Over All Things’ can be found at number 11 on Reggae Vibes Spotify Playlist: Picks of the Week #86.
This is a platform to highlight young, upcoming, and established artistes and is compiled by the Reggae Vibes team every week.
The Jamaican-born singer, now living in the US, has a good feeling of knowing he is getting this recognition.
“Good songs with a universal message cannot get lost in the pack. It will always be noticed, perhaps not by everyone, but by those who know the true meaning of love.
“The message of the song is powerful because we are not demonstrating love over all things. Instead, it is diamonds and pearls and other earthly possessions, which will not last forever.
“Look at the stories which take centerstage on our daily newscasts platforms and the level of domestic disputes worldwide.”
“Husbands killing their loved ones. Students stabbing their classmates. Leaders waging wars for land, killing women and children.”
“We need Love over all Things, which the song is highlighting.”
“If we can love the Almighty and others over all things, this world would be a better place for all of us,” he shares.
The producer of the song, Dub Chemist, supports the views of Rasta Blacspade. “Love is a universal language. God is love, so there is nothing else which can express humanity more than love.”
“The song was written by the artiste (Rasta Blacspace) himself.
“I gave him the riddim about September 2023, a riddim composed by Aston “Family Man” Barrett and other members of the Tuff Gong International team.”
“I choose Rasta Blacspade because I have known him that long to see his creativity and potential. He was definitely going to give me a good composition.”
“The song was recorded at a studio in Long Island, New York and is the title track for Rasta Blacspade’s soon-to-be-released album. This is my first major project with the artiste,” the producer says.
Rasta Blacspade is recognized for reaching the finals of the IRAWMA (International Reggae and World Music Awards) competition 2023. Additionally, his song ‘Jah Jah Live’ got song of the week on Q radio 103.3 based in West Africa.
