Dubplates are especially popular in the dancehall and reggae scene as artists combine modified versions of well-known songs with a sound system. One recent standout is the collaboration between Trinidadian singer Queen Omega and Geneva-based Little Lion Sound. Their dubplate, titled No Love, gained widespread recognition for its use of the instrumental of Dr. Dre & Snoop Dogg’s hip-hop classic The Next Episode. The mash-up, which has amassed millions of streams, has now been officially released as a single through RCA, a division of Sony Music Entertainment Germany GmbH / Robots & Humans Music Limited.
