His style is unmistakable, always carrying spiritual weight without forcing the message. His new single, Drift Away, comes via Spain’s Time To Roots Records, and it feels like classic Prince Alla. The song moves slowly and deliberately, with lyrics that speak about life, reflection, and staying grounded. On the flip side, Dub Away was mixed completely live by producer George Palmer, using only analog gear. You can hear it in the warmth of the effects, the depth of the echoes, and the way small vocal fragments float in and out of the mix. The record comes pressed on 7″ vinyl, limited to just 300 copies.
