Stingray Records dipped back into their archives and pulled up six tracks they recorded with Alton Ellis. Included is Don’t Say Goodbye floating on a fresh cut of the Danger In Your Eyes riddim, along with sturdy favorites like Jah Make Me Stronger, Look In Your Eyes, and Don’t Go. They even dusted off updated versions of his 1979 tune I Dig You Baby and his take on The Foundations’ Baby Now That I Found You, the one he first voiced at Studio One back in ’67. The digital release is a warm reminder of why Alton’s voice still hits straight to the heart.
