Javi “Bass Lee” Arkotxa, the talented producer, musician, and label owner from northern Spain, is known for his work in the instrumental and dub band Message, as well as in a new band, Upyard. Hailing from Mungia, a small town near Bilbao in the Basque Country, Upyard is a five-member reggae outfit dedicated to preserving the genre’s musical and lyrical essence. Their debut album, Sufferah’s Time, embodies their mission, delivering a powerful message of love, hope, justice, and consciousness through reggae music.
