Nathan Skyers passed away
Nathan Skyers, one of the under-recorded roots vocalists in Jamaica, lent his voice to recordings for Dennis Brown, Channel One, Mandingo, and others. In the late ’90s, he was still recording tunes, including tracks for Coxsone Dodd. During this period, he established the Family House label in collaboration with Richard Brown. Together they released several singles including Salute To The Heroes, Nuh Bread Can’t Bake and Prisoner Of Love. He also released two LPs, Dem A Fight I (1983) and a self-titled LP (1987). In addition to his solo career, Nathan Skyers was a member of The Silvertones. He sadly passed away due to complications from a short illness.
Our sincere condolences to his family and friends.
