If you think Sosuh Bonez could scare you out of your wits, think again. This St. Catherine-based singjay, born Anthony Brown, has more than flesh to his credit. In fact, he is walking around with a heavyweight, muscular, musical package.

This sounds like 10,000 volts of electrifying energy which will keep you dancing up a storm. Sosuh Bonez’s secret was well kept until producer/manager Adrian “Kyoni Recordz” Bloomfield let the proverbial “puss out of the bag.” Kyoni believes Sosuh Bonez is simply the main inspiration behind his production success.

“I have done work with several artistes spanning some three continents including Africa. And, to say the least, Sosuh Bonez is packed with energy. I met him when he was going through rough times, and knowing my journey, l could identify with his struggles, which were similar to my struggles.”

“We could have gone another path, but we chose music because this will help us to spread positivity throughout the world.”

“Sosuh Bonez has a wide range of harmonic sounds, which enables him to manipulate the most difficult riddims. His lyrical content is not only wide but catchy. I recall our first production, ‘Living It Up’, which represents our experiences in life. The song was released on May 21, 2022, and got a great response which led to Sosuh Bonez doing dubplates sessions. His talent attracted a producer from Florida state. Then work extended to yet another producer in Africa.”

“Another song on my project, titled ‘Envy’, was released on May 23, 2023. The third track, ‘Fake Friends’, was released seven months later, in December 2023. He has done two more tracks which are in the mixing and mastering stage before the release of my eight-track EP, this summer 2024.”

Kyoni explains that “before year-end, the fruits of hard and consistent work will be evident as there are plans to have the artiste involved in promotional tours. This will allow his fanbase to grow and he could relate directly to reggae fans throughout the world.”

Kyoni, born and grew up in Kingston, got interested in music by playing instruments through the church, which continued when he migrated at age 12 to Montreal, Canada.

He has produced artistes including Luciano (‘Bright’ and ‘Early in The Morning’), Althea Hewitt (‘Power In Love’), the late Merciless (‘Ghetto Queen’), and Canada-based J Stvrr (‘Step Out’).
