Kingston Sound System proudly presents Classic Hits In A Reggae Groove, a bold new project that reimagines timeless international hits in an authentic reggae style. With the full blessing and involvement of the original artists, the album breathes fresh Caribbean life into classics like Blondie’s Heart of Glass, Tanita Tikaram’s Twist in My Sobriety, The B-52’s Love Shack, and Steve Winwood’s Higher Love.
At the core of the project is the Kingston Sound System itself, a powerhouse collective of veteran reggae musicians. The line-up includes Devon Bradshaw (Burning Spear) on bass, Ian Coleman (Ziggy & Damian Marley, Wyclef, Fugees) on guitar, and Donovan Miller (Marcia Griffiths, Chaka Demus) on drums, with horn power from Taxi Gang stalwarts “Stepper” Briard and Didier Bolay.
