Roy Sadler was born in Walkerswood, Saint Ann, Jamaica, in a district called Golden Grove. At an early age, he and his mom, who was a teacher at the time, moved to New York. Now an adult and living in Utah he maintains a strong Jamaican identity and connection to the island.
