Marcus Blake: A Jamaican Artist in Miami’s Creative Space

Marcus Blake is a multimedia artist whose work spans poetry, street art, performance, visual art and fashion. Born in Jamaica and based in Miami, Blake draws from everyday life, social issues and the tropical environment of the city. His street art practice, known as “Tapenology,” uses geometric patterns and strong color to transform public spaces. Blake also creates collages, acrylic paintings and installations that connect with community experiences.

During Miami Art Week 2025, Blake presents In Art We Trust at The Urban in Miami. The multidisciplinary exhibition includes his artwork, a fashion presentation and live performances. The event continues his focus on artistic expression, community, and the role of creativity in public spaces.
