After previous successful editions, 4AD and Irie Vibes Roots Festival will organize another ROOTS RALLY this year. With this we are looking for live bands and solo artists from the Benelux and Northern France within the genres of reggae, dub, ska and Afro-reggae.

After listening to all entries thoroughly, the ‘Team Artists’ of Irie Vibes Roots Festival will make a selection of three bands. These three bands qualify for the ROOTS RALLY FINAL, in which a professional jury will choose the winner of the ROOTS RALLY 2025.

The final of the ROOTS RALLY will be played on Easter Monday, April 21 in music club 4AD in Diksmuide, Belgium.

All bands in the final receive a small compensation (3rd place €200, 2nd place €300 and 1st place €500). In addition, all band members of the three finalists will receive a free weekend ticket + T-shirt of the Irie Vibes Roots Festival.

The winner will have the opportunity to open the mainstage of the Irie Vibes Roots Festival on Saturday 26 July (fee € 500 + hospitality).

HOW TO ENTER THE CONTEST?

Registration is possible from 15 January to 28 February. Only bands or artists in the genres of reggae, dub, ska and Afro-reggae are eligible.

Bands from Flanders and Brussels are required to register via the platform vi.be (https://vi.be/…/Greenforw…/calls/irievibesrootsrally2025).

Bands from Wallonia, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Northern France (Nord Pas-de-Calais, Picardy, Champagne-Ardenne, Lorraine) send an e-mail to rootsrally25@yahoo.com.

The final of the ROOTS RALLY 2025 will be held on April 21st from 4 pm to 8 pm in music club 4AD, Diksmuide, Belgium. Admission is free.
