Irie Vibes Roots Festival 2026 – Kortemark, Belgium

From July 23–25, Kortemark becomes the place to be for fans of roots, reggae and soundsystem culture as VZW Greenforward presents three days of music, community and heavyweight bass.

THURSDAY, JULY 23 – KORTEMARK CONGÉ

The festival opens with a free celebration for all. Soundsystem vibes start at the campsite with Anahata Soundsystem and Mediroot, while 54 Sound brings deep Jamaican-style bass to the festival grounds. In the Lion’s Den tent, enjoy sets by Kokonuts, the vi.be contest winner, Rasolution, and Mood Collector.

FRIDAY, JULY 24 – SOUNDSYSTEM NIGHT

Dedicated entirely to Jamaican soundsystem culture: custom-built speakers, vinyl and dubplates — heavyweight bass, conscious lyrics, energetic toasters and, above all, a strong and inclusive community. Crucial Soundsystem kicks off the day at the campsite, joined by their guests from Tenement Showcase. Later on, Banton Boom Bike spreads pop-up Jungle and R’n’B parties across the festival grounds. In the Lion’s Den tent, the legendary Blackboard Jungle Soundsystem leads the night with Marky Lyrical and Sistah Jahia. Alongside NicoZen and Ital Power, two additional crews will turn the tent upside down with driving rhythms, captivating toasts and deep basslines.

SATURDAY, JULY 25 – ROOTS & REGGAE VIBES GALORE

The festival peaks with live shows and soundsystem sessions. On the Inner Lion stage: Earth-Tone Soundsystem, Unlisted Fanatic, and reggae pioneer Gladdy Wax. In the Lion’s Den: Skarbone14 (celebrating 25 years), Sara Lugo, the Beljam Roots Collective featuring Xanjah, Saimn-I, Collieman and special guest GT Moore, plus headliners Cimarons Meet Lone Ark. The weekend closes with Hitman & Fiza Soundsystem.

More Than Music

Alongside the music, the festival features a children’s village, festival market, international food stands, and animations, staying true to its values of ecology, respect, and community.
