Ian Sweetness to toast Oracabessa
With just a few days for the show to unfold, the air is abuzz with excitement.
The show features the likes of international singer Jada Kingdom, reggae Queen Marcia Griffiths, and trending dancehall artist Valiant. There is also the well-tailored Terry Linen and others to blow your mind and leave you desperate for more.
Ian Sweetness, obviously sharpening his techniques, is a first-timer to this annual show but he comes into the field as no underdog.
His presentation will surely be a choice for the cameras and reggae fans have been loving the romance which he exhibits.
Record producer Heather Virgo says, “He is dynamic, full of energy and flawless on stage. There won’t be a dull moment when Ian is around.”
As for the Sweetness, “This will be the biggest show for me since being in New York. People are waiting for that hour when the son of sweetness will appear. And, trust me, fans will be coming from Connecticut, New Jersey, Baltimore, and Washington D.C.”
“It is a great privilege to bring back some real romantic music to touch hearts and souls,” he adds.
“As people we are hearing too many bad things which keep many of us even afraid to go out and enjoy ourselves.”
“People are craving for songs like ‘Little Green Apples’ a cover version of the O.C. Smith, ‘Sweet Jamaica’, ‘You Light My Night Up’, and ‘She Fell in Love’, produced by Heather Virgo on the ‘Edition’ riddim for her Hit Melody Records label.
“I will definitely be one of the hot steppers, especially having recently won Singer of The Year, Dancehall Thursdays – a musical platform in Jamaica which is viewed by reggae fans across the world.”
