She migrated to the United States and continued her education at Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn and later at the American Business Institute. A Career Built on Hard Work

Before her appointment as Consul-General, Roach-Wilson built a career in the finance sector. She worked in senior positions at Bear Stearns, Greylock Capital Management, and other financial firms. She founded The Alsion Roach Group and also established Cyberlock Solutions, a cybersecurity company. Her experience in finance helped her understand global markets and opened doors for her to work with large organizations and government bodies.

In July 2019, Alsion Roach-Wilson became Jamaica’s Consul-General to New York. She oversaw Jamaica’s interests across 33 U.S. states, Puerto Rico, and Bermuda. Her role included building stronger ties between Jamaica and the diaspora, supporting consular services, and promoting trade and investment.

As an alumna of Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC), she stayed involved with the institution by serving on the advisory board for the Office of Diplomatic Engagement and Training.
