Half Pint – Greetings
REISSUE
When Half Pint’s Greetings for George Phang’s Power House label hit in 1985, it was pure fire. It didn’t just make waves, it lifted Half Pint straight to the top of the dancehall game. At the same time, Sly & Robbie were showing everyone how to move into the digital age without losing that roots heartbeat. They flipped Don Drummond’s classic Heavenless riddim into a sharp, digital killer, slicing through the sound system sessions much like Jammy’s Sleng Teng had done before. That same riddim gave Super Cat his breakout moment with Under Pressure, now a certified classic. This new digital release drops the full extended 12” mix straight from Power House, plus a heavy Sly & Robbie dub that reminds you why that era still rules the dance.
