Circle of One Marketing Named Best of Jamaica 2025 Business of the Year

Circle of One Marketing, the award winning Miami-based marketing and communications firm led by Jamaican Founder and CEO Suzan McDowell, has been named Business of the Year at the 27th Annual Best of Jamaica Awards. The honour recognises companies that demonstrate excellence, innovation and meaningful impact across the Jamaican and Caribbean community worldwide.

Over the years, the firm has built a strong reputation for delivering culture-driven campaigns for major festivals, brands, nonprofits and corporate clients, all while championing Caribbean stories on the global stage. Its work has spanned projects connected to Jazz in the Gardens, the Jamaican Jerk Festival, the South Beach Wine & Food Festival and several high-profile organisations.

Recognition Rooted in Culture and Excellence

In a press release announcing the honour, McDowell reflected on what the award means for her company and the broader Caribbean community.

This award from Jamaicans.com is more than recognition; it is affirmation that our culture, our creativity, and our work ethic are powerful forces in the global marketplace.”

The Business of the Year title is reserved for organisations that show strong leadership, integrity and measurable impact. Circle of One Marketing was recognised for its ability to elevate Caribbean-driven narratives into mainstream spaces while helping Caribbean-owned brands and creatives grow and compete at the highest level.

A Proud Moment on the Awards Stage

Accepting the award on January 30, 2026, McDowell delivered an emotional speech that underscored her pride in her roots and the mission behind her work.

Grateful, honoured, happy — all of those words cannot express how I feel… Everything that we do is to represent our country and to do it properly, to do it excellently, so that when people look at us and see the marketing work that we have done, they know that a big part of it is because we’re Jamaican.” she said.

She also reflected on her upbringing and the values that continue to guide her leadership.

“I am the daughter of Dr. Glass McDow, the Queen’s dentist in Jamaica, and I’m very, very proud to be a Jamaican. Everything that we do is to represent our country and to do it properly, to do it excellently, so that when people look at us and see the marketing work that we have done, they know that a big part of it is because we’re Jamaican.”

Ending on a warm and memorable note, she added, “If the world was high school, Jamaica would be the cool kid.”

Celebrating Jamaican Entrepreneurship

The award marks a proud milestone for Circle of One Marketing and highlights the continued influence of Jamaican-led businesses on the global stage. Through its work, the company has consistently bridged culture and commerce, carrying Jamaican creativity, resilience and excellence into boardrooms, campaigns and communities worldwide.
