Chris Thomas The CEO looks to the Grammy
Producer/artiste of I.W.A.A.D. Music LLC, Chris Thomas The CEO, has more than one reason to be excited as the curtain begins to unfold with the announcement of this year’s Grammy Consideration. This will lead to the Grammy nomination stage, and finally, the Coronation night when Grammy Awards will be given across several categories.
The CEO, a Jamaican based in the US, has presented three delicious lyrical dishes which will be very hard to dismiss for Grammy nominations.
The first is, “Girl Let Me Show You,” a collaboration with the super-talented country singer, Brian Iannucci. This falls in the Best Country Duo/ Group Performance. The second masterpiece is the spicey mouthwatering “Some Type O Way” with dancehall king and twice Grammy winner, Beenie Man, rounding off the menu with the sparkling ten-track album titled “Power,” synonymous with its powerhouse tracks, for all the ears and years.
Reggae-Vibes, the magazine of pure class, caught up with Chris Thomas The CEO, moments after the announcement of the first round (of Grammy consideration), and he was in high spirits.
“To say the least, a lot of music fans all over keep telling me, ‘Chris you need a special Christmas present this year, if it is even one, you deserve it. You are a professional who believes in the best in whatever you do even for others. So, keep your fingers crossed.’”
“Well, if this Grammy Consideration leads to an actual nomination and Grammy, so let it be.”
Dancehall reggae/Afrobeat artiste, Shaka Pow, who shares the producer’s imprint for “Power” and “Some Time O Way,” gives The CEO honours for his dynamic entries into the Grammy race.
“Chris Thomas The CEO is a perfectionist who has studied, worked, and immersed himself and his team in the upliftment of dancehall/reggae music while leaning on other genres of music. He has a unique blend and sound which has international appeal. Chris’ “Some Type O Way,” a collaboration with King Beenie Man boasts a remake of Steely and Clevie’s “Young Gal Business” riddim.”
Chris Thomas of I.W.A.A.D. Music LLC has worked closely with Shaka Pow/The Outfytt Boss of Outfytt Records, along with artistes/producers Distant Plannet of Soniclinks, Ran Ohayon from Israel, and Richard Roache of Digital One.
