March 2027
She is in the boardroom closing the deal. She is on the Junior Market raising capital for a company she built from an idea and a laptop. She is advising the minister, running the bank, founding the tech startup, managing the fund, teaching the class and mentoring the next generation — all before lunch. She has always been here. What is changing, finally, is that we are beginning to count her.
For the 2027 edition of the Businesuite Women Power 100 — Jamaica’s Most Powerful and Influential Businesswomen, we are producing our most ambitious ranking yet. This is not merely a list. It is a reckoning — a rigorous, evidence-driven accounting of where power actually sits in Jamaica’s private sector, who holds it, how they earned it, and what they are doing with it.
The 2027 Digital Edition publishes in March 2027, timed to coincide with the launch of the inaugural ELEVATE100: Catalyst Awards. The nomination window opens October 1, 2026. The window for corporate Jamaica to be part of it is open now.
“The Businesuite Women Power 100 is the list that Jamaica’s business community actually talks about. Being associated with it — as a ranked executive or as a supporting brand — carries genuine credibility in boardrooms across the island.”

Why This Edition Is Different
When Businesuite Magazine published its first Power 50 ranking of Jamaica’s leading businesswomen, the conversation was almost entirely about who occupied the corner office. Today the conversation is far richer — and far more consequential.
The 2027 Power 100 expands to a full one hundred ranked women across three power tiers, reflecting a private sector where female influence no longer flows exclusively through the traditional CEO pipeline. It flows through investment management, technology ventures, policy advisory roles and media platforms that shape how millions of Jamaicans understand money and ambition. Power has diversified. Our ranking has evolved to reflect it.
The Three Tiers of Power
The 2027 Power 100 is structured across three distinct categories, each capturing a different dimension of female influence in the Jamaican economy.
The definitive nominees — women heading Jamaica’s largest institutions whose companies appear directly in the Businesuite Caribbean Net Profit Rankings and CEO Performance Index. Their decisions move markets, employ thousands and shape the direction of the Jamaican economy. Their power is measurable, documented and unambiguous.
Sector leaders, policy architects and C-suite executives whose institutional reach extends well beyond their immediate organisations. These are the women who convene, connect and catalyse — determining who leads Jamaica’s companies, what those companies prioritise, and how the private sector responds to the challenges of the moment.
The pipeline. Emerging executives, rising entrepreneurs and women building scale on the Junior Market and in the technology, creative, health and impact economy sectors. These are the names that serious readers will want to know before they become household ones. This is where the next Power 50 is being assembled — one deal, one launch and one bold decision at a time.
How We Select the Power 100
Our selection process applies a rigorous Four-Pillar Weighted Index to the Jamaican context, informed by key industry insiders, published data and verified sources. Every nominee receives a composite score from 0 to 100 points. The nominee with the highest index score is ranked #1.
#1 = Highest Index Score

“Finance still dominates. But power is shifting to executive, founder and ecosystem roles. And the next wave of Power 10 entrants will come from AI, SaaS, platforms and the green economy.”
— Businesuite Women Editorial Assessment, 2026
Four Things the Data Is Telling Us
Finance still dominates power. Banking, investments and insurance remain the primary gateways to institutional influence. The women who lead these institutions — or who hold the CFO, CRO and Deputy CEO titles within them — command the resources and relationships that underpin the entire Jamaican economy.
The CEO gap is real — but power is shifting. Very few women lead Jamaica’s largest corporations outright. What our research consistently shows, however, is that power is no longer exclusively a title. It lives in executive roles, in founder positions, in the ecosystem builders whose networks and knowledge make the economy function.
Technology is the fastest-rising category. The next wave of Power 10 entrants will come from artificial intelligence, SaaS platforms, fintech and digital media. The women building in these spaces today are tomorrow’s top-five nominees.
Influence is no longer title-based. A media executive who shapes how millions of Jamaicans think about money belongs on this list alongside the CEO of a billion-dollar company. We are measuring agenda-setting, consumer influence and economic direction — not just org chart position.
How to Nominate for the 2027 Power 100
For 2027, Businesuite Women is introducing a formal digital nomination portal that feeds directly into our indexing and ranking database — enabling systematic scoring across the Four-Pillar Weighted Index as applied in 2026. Nominations submitted through the portal are verified, scored and ranked by the editorial team during the verification window in January and February 2027.
The Businesuite Nomination Portal — Coming October 1, 2026
The Businesuite Women nomination platform will be launched on October 1, 2026 to accept nominations directly into our secure database. Each submission will be verified and scored against the Four-Pillar Weighted Index. The portal ensures that every nominee is assessed consistently, transparently and on the same evidence base.
Until the portal launches, expressions of interest and advance nominations can be sent to businessuitemagazine@gmail.com with the subject line “2027 Power 100 — Advance Nomination”. All advance submissions will be migrated into the portal on opening day.
