With more than 19 years of experience in the general insurance industry, Ms. Glaves-Hucey assumed executive leadership in 2020 following the company’s acquisition by the GraceKennedy Financial Group. Her mandate has centred on transforming the business model, strengthening underwriting discipline, enhancing claims governance, and driving sustainable profitability within Jamaica’s regulated insurance environment.
Prior to this role, she served in senior leadership positions at GK General Insurance and GK Insurance (Eastern Caribbean) Ltd, where she was instrumental in advancing GraceKennedy’s expansion strategy across the Eastern Caribbean. Her earlier career included responsibility for claims management at General Accident Insurance Company and Globe Insurance Company, providing operational depth in risk assessment and portfolio management.
A Chartered Insurer and Attorney-at-Law with an MBA from Heriot-Watt University, Ms. Glaves-Hucey combines technical insurance expertise with legal and governance insight. She currently serves as a Director of GK Insurance Eastern Caribbean and participates at board level within the GraceKennedy group structure.
Her leadership reflects disciplined execution, regulatory awareness, and long-term stewardship—positioning Key Insurance as a stable, Jamaican-owned insurer operating with strengthened institutional alignment and strategic clarity.
