As co-founder of Sygnus Capital and Executive Director, President and CEO of Sygnus Real Estate Finance Limited (SRF), Mr. Grey leads a publicly listed alternative investment platform focused on structured real estate finance across the Caribbean. Incorporated in Saint Lucia and listed on the Main Market of the Jamaica Stock Exchange since October 2021, SRF deploys equity, debt and quasi-equity capital across industrial, hospitality, commercial, residential and infrastructure assets. Its mandate spans greenfield developments, brownfield repositioning and opportunistic transactions, supported by flexible instruments including mezzanine debt, bridge financing, preference shares and real estate investment notes.
Mr. Grey’s leadership is grounded in global capital markets experience. He began his career in European debt capital markets specialising in securitisation and structured finance, later holding senior roles at Scotia Investments and CIBC FirstCaribbean. At the latter, he served as Managing Director and Executive Director of Corporate & Investment Banking, overseeing a US$3.0 billion loan portfolio and regional strategy. Over the past decade, he has led more than US$10 billion in corporate and sovereign financings.
Through disciplined structuring, governance alignment and active asset stewardship, Mr. Grey continues to expand institutional capital formation within the Caribbean’s alternative investment ecosystem.
