Bushman - Nyah Man Chant

NEW RELEASE

By all measures, Bushman’s debut album, released in late 1997 as Nyah Man Chant, stands as a quintessential roots reggae collection. The Steelie & Clevie-produced tracks skillfully utilized 1990s technology to revive the classic riddims and sounds of the 1970s and 1980s with th help of legendary musicians from that era like Earl “Chinna” Smith, Dean Fraser, and Vin Gordon. Notably, the title song, characterized by its timeless one-drop riddim, had not been issued on 7″ or 12″ vinyl until now. French label Y Mas Gan Records has acquired the license for Nyah Man Chant from the Steelie & Clevie camp and released it as a limited edition 12″ single, which includes an unreleased instrumental and a dub version mixed by Clevie’s son, Nile Browne, also known as Riva Nile.
