In just two weeks, Beres Hammond’s 1979 album Just A Man has been reissued under two different labels: Jamwax from France and Beres Hammond’s own label, Harmony House. The Jamwax release comes on black vinyl and is available globally, while Harmony House offers a limited-edition colored vinyl LP distributed in the US by VP Records’ 17 North Parade. Produced by Joe Gibbs with arrangements by Willie Lindo, Just A Man features a fusion of R&B, disco, soul reggae, and lovers rock. This 8-track album showcases Beres Hammond’s soulful voice over disco-infused reggae riddims.
