Azizzi Romeo is finally putting a full album on the table. After a run of singles on Recall Reality and Tribe 84 Records, he’s announced his debut LP, Signs Of The Time, made in full partnership with Denmark’s Guiding Star Orchestra, the 11-piece outfit that’s built a name on that organic, heavy-horn, live analog roots sound. The album drops and ships physically on October 2, 2026 through Recall Reality, and pre-orders are open now for both vinyl and digital. The rollout’s capped off with the third and final single, Thanks And Praises.

Azizzi grew up in rural Linstead, St. Catherine, right in the thick of foundation reggae. That’s not a stretch, considering he’s the son of roots icon Max Romeo. He was on the mic before most kids finish primary school, fronting the duo Rominal with his brother at age eight, and later joined his father on the road for international tours before branching off solo. His own sound leans conscious and rootsy at its core, but he’s not afraid to bring in electronic textures and a more introspective, moody edge to the writing.

For Signs Of The Time, he linked with Copenhagen’s Guiding Star Orchestra for the full 11 tracks. Thomas Leholt handled the main production, with Steve Borth II of CHLLNGR and Recall Reality, and Nicolas Duboux, coming in as co-producers. The band’s what you’d hope for from this crew: Nathan Mercier on bass, Anton Chatelain and Tobias Elof splitting drum duties, Malthe Kaptain on trumpet, and Leholt himself on keys. Mixing came from Morten McCoy of Bremer/McCoy, alongside Laurits Qwist Bilén and Mikael Flensborg.

The title track carries real weight beyond the music itself. It holds one of the final vocal performances from the late Max Romeo, recorded alongside his son, so Signs Of The Time becomes something of a torch-passing moment between generations. The family thread continues on All I See, which brings in Azizzi’s sister, Xana Romeo, for a proper family affair across the album.
