A’Legends gives to Jamaican student
US-based fashionista A’Legends has thrown her support behind the need for children to get a good education in Jamaica.
She has financed the costs of Amelia Gayle’s book expenses for the new academic school year which begins in September 2023. In addition, the package will include her popular children’s book, Keira Discovers Her Talent.
Amelia first caught the eyes of Michael “Beatbopper” Hudgins, an American record producer and philanthropist who surprised her with a similar package after she placed first in her class. The six-year-old could earn up to ten years of sponsorship should she maintain her high academic achievement.
The Philadelphia-based A’Legends of Jamaican parentage always believe that adults should play a pivotal role in preparing children for the adult world. She insists that a good education will never decay.
She recalls going the extra mile to get her Associate Degree in Business Education because she knew this would be an asset to her goals in life.
Jenelle “A’Legends” Alexia will also be part of Michelle’s 12th Annual Back to School Supply Drive in Orange, New Jersey.
“I donated for the first time last year. This year is definitely bigger with giveaways, including televisions, tablets, and schoolbags”.
This year’s event will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023.
Jenelle hopes to continue her drive and is preparing a wide array of children’s toys for Christmas. This will be distributed to several children’s homes in Jamaica.
