A Little Sweetness after The Storm
Ian Sweetness, the Jamaican-born US-based reggae singer, believes that after a storm comes calm. As such, he is reminding those who have suffered in any way by the disastrous passage of Hurricane Beryl, that there will be some peace after they ride through the storms of life.
“As I watched the various weather channels and the dangers that people will face; the vivid scenes of concrete structures coverted to shambles. The loss of human lives, animals, and crops, comes that moment of hope.”
“Hope, according to the Bible, means looking to the future with assurance because we know Jesus, we know we have hope.”
“We are here to experience both pleasures and disappointments. Natural disasters, including hurricanes, will bring short and long-term sorrows. But, we must have faith.”
Ian Sweetness feels it is one of his responsibility to bring hope through his music.
“We don’t need songs that are negative because we have so much of that surrounding us at this time. The constant wars and upheavals. And, most of all, the fear that the world is becoming more unfriendly to our children,” he shares.
Ian Sweetness, talented and positive, is always ready to put on a smile of sweetness after the storms have passed.
