The magic of Alvin Ailey returns to BAM ushering in an exciting new era, pushing the boundaries of dance while honoring the timeless legacy of its visionary founder. Under the leadership of new Artistic Director Alicia Graf Mack and Associate Artistic Director Matthew Rushing, the company’s fourth consecutive season at BAM promises an unforgettable celebration of joy, beauty, resilience, and the transformative power of movement.

Audiences can look forward to treasured repertory works including a new production of Judith Jamison’s Hymn, the Emmy Award-winning tribute to Alvin Ailey, alongside Medhi Walerski’s Blink of an Eye and the iconic Revelations, a masterpiece that continues to uplift and inspire generations around the world.

Rum & Rhythm Benefit Mixologist of the Year 2024 – Marv Cunningham

This signature event will take guests on an enchanting journey that will encapsulate the vibrant cultures, eclectic cuisines, pulsating rhythms and quintessential experiences to be enjoyed in the Caribbean. Guests will be exposed to the varied Rums of the Caribbean as well as the talents and artistic flair of some of the Caribbean’s award winning musicians, chefs and mixologists.

The Last Ship

The Metropolitan Opera curtain rises on the newly adapted musical The Last Ship, written, composed and starring international music icon Sting, featuring new and revised songs as well as a new book by Barney Norris. Shaggy co-stars as a spiritual character known as Ferryman in a strictly limited run of Sting’s musical

The Last Ship is an emotionally moving, semi-autobiographical musical inspired by Sting’s childhood in the British shipbuilding town of Wallsend. After a pre-Broadway run in Chicago, the production opened on Broadway in 2014 at the Neil Simon Theatre. The Broadway production received Tony Award nominations, including Best Original Score. The show has continued as a touring and remounted title beyond its initial Broadway engagement, including a U.S. national tour that opened at Los Angeles’ Ahmanson Theatre and played San Francisco’s Golden Gate Theatre. The musical remains a live theatrical property that can be staged in major venues and revisited in new markets, with Sting involved in select engagements.

Braata Productions returns Off Broadway with The Braata Singers Annual Concert Season. All We A One is a concert experience paying tribute to Caribbean storytelling through music, movement, and tradition. This year, The Braata Singers especially pay homage to the Independence milestones of Antigua & Barbuda (45th), Barbados (60th), Belize (45th), Guyana (60th), and Panama (205th). In a genre best described as choral theatre, the award winning Braata Singers celebrate Caribbean unity through tracing histories of deep togetherness, shared ways of life, and experiences that have formed the Caribbean across generations.
