Robert Dallas & Dubsetters – Africa
NEW RELEASE
After their first release, Nazamba’s Money, Finnish label Dub & Sound International and its studio band the Dubsetters, has established its name in reggae circles further with first the release of Linval Thompson’s No Criminal and then Vin Gordon’s Digging The Vibes. For a brand new release, they linked up with Jamaica-born UK-based singer Robert Dallas, who’s known among reggae followers for his releases on Roots Garden and Jamtone. Across a fresh original bass-driven roots reggae riddim, the vocalist delivers the Rasta tune Africa, which explores the theme of returning home to the Motherland. The flip side contains the dub version with intermittent vocals. The old skool mixing style of the tracks is done by label boss and Dubsetters leader Jaakko Penttinen.
