Spain’s Cool Up Records and soulful female singer Sailor Smile present a reggae version of “Screamin’ Jay” Hawkins’ 1956 blues ballad I Put A Spell On You. This song has been covered by many other artists including Creedence Clearwater Revival in 1968. Sailor Smile delivers a rendition of the original song utilizing a powerful singing style over a riddim that is rooted in the roots reggae style of the late 1970s. Flipside of the 7″ vinyl features I Put A Dub On You.
