The song titled ‘Raw Truth’ from one of Jamaica’s pure class singjays, Navino, has hit iTunes US sales-driven Reggae charts. This comes less than 24 hours, following its release on Friday, December 8, 2023. The video, released the same day, peaked at number one, while the song is among the top 10 songs.

The charts represent songs worldwide, including the heavyweights in music, such as the Marleys, Drift, Sean Paul, and Shaggy.

A’Legends, a co-producer of the project, is not surprised by the early success.

“We have worked very hard on this project. I am talking about our dynamic quartet, which includes DJ Treasure Music, Real Live Records, and IFamily Records. We came together with the same objectives and goals, which is to take ‘Raw Truth’ and other songs throughout the world.”

“We knew from the initial stage that ‘Raw Truth’ was a dynamic song, the moment we looked deeply into its theme, which is universal.”

“Raw Truth is important in every sense of the word even though we conveniently try to ignore the truth. Navino went really deep on this subject and has given us a clear number one song which is of pure class.”

“He (Navino) is no stranger to great music, including ‘Chillin’ Time’, ‘Nuff Gyal’ and ‘Born Great’. His fan base is increasing at all levels. Not only are teenagers attracted to his music, but people of all social groups, including the academia.”

Navino, born Ricardo Fraser, is from Annotto Bay, St. Mary, and attended Buff Bay High School.

He was previously a member of the label, Jag One Production Company, releasing ‘Chillin’ Time’ on the ‘Overproof’ riddim which became a hit song.

Navino later left the camp and landed a deal with Patrick “Roach” Samuels and Justus Arison of Ja. Productions. However, this lasted for about a year and pushed Navino to form his owned Cyaa Tame Records, along with his longtime friend Delon “Deluxx” Graham, producing songs such as ‘DNA’ and ‘Without Love’.

Navino has had other hits, among these are ‘If It’s Not Money’ and ‘Real Friends, a Seanizzle ‘production. Others are ‘Wine Up Fi Mi’ on Anthony Records and ‘Bag A Gyal’, produced by Johnny Wonder on the 21st Hapilos label.
