Yaadcore & Fred Locks – Sufferation
NEW VIDEO
Jamaican reggae artist Yaadcore has teamed up with veteran Fred Locks, famous for his hit song Black Star Liner in the mid-’70s, to address the issue of violence in Jamaica’s inner cities through their latest single, Sufferation. The powerful message conveyed in the song is further amplified by the release of an official music video.
The title of the song is used in a cultural context that portrays the feelings of pain, struggle, and injustice. In the Jamaican patois language, ‘sufferation’ captures the profound and emotional journey through the difficulties of poverty and despair.
“Everywhere you look right now people inna sufferation. Every scroll on the timeline is another double or triple murder. We want to empower the youths to prosper through positive music. The collaboration with Fred Locks is part of the journey to uplift the youths and bridge the gap with elders and the next generation,” says Yaadcore.
