Tony Chin is back with a fresh album, Journey Of Life, released April 3 on his own Tony Chin label. For this new collection of tunes he handled the production himself. The album brings 12 original tracks, plus two cover versions: You Don’t Know Me by Ray Charles and If Loving You Is Wrong by Luther Ingram.

Tony’s journey in music goes way back. He didn’t start on guitar right away. First it was drums and even bugle in youth bands. But once he stepped into the role of lead guitarist, things clicked. Linking up with George ‘Fully’ Fullwood in the Rhythm Raiders eventually led to Soul Syndicate, one of the key bands shaping reggae in the 1970s.

Listening to Tony’s new album, you can feel all that it’s built on years of experience, growth, and staying true to the music. Tony’s guitar playing carries the whole project It sounds smooth, steady, and full of character. And also vocally, he shows his talent throughout. The vibe leans into roots reggae, but there’s also thoughtful, soulful moments running through it. It’s the kind of album you play when you want to slow down and really connect with the music.
