Riddim Dee-Lite: Hurricane
RIDDIM RELEASE
After the success of his 1999 riddim Headache, Mo’ Music producer Louis “Flabba” Malcolm returned in 2000 with the hard-hitting Hurricane riddim. Built by Rickie “Mad Man” Myrie at Kingston’s Anchor Studios, this uncompromising dancehall riddim featured 18 cuts, with 10 making it onto CD. Now, 25 years later, the storm resurfaces through Reggae Library: three standout tracks have been digitally re-released, accompanied by the Brawta Mix—a seamless blend of all three into one dynamic track. Capleton brings fierce energy with Hunt You, a commanding anthem, while Mad Cobra follows with Run Come Defend It, a bold and defiant delivery. Christopher softens the edges with All I Have To Give, a smooth lover’s tune that glides effortlessly over the sparse backdrop.
