With Afrobeat becoming a dynamic force in reggae space, Arnett Gardens’ Aktive has signaled his intention to spread his musical wings.

The emerging deejay, under the stewardship of Marlon Graham of MG Promotion LLC, has recorded a collaboration with Ghanian Vybrant Lyrically for the festive season.

The song titled ‘Party Turn Up’ is about girls and partying. This is the season for everyone to forget about work and ring in the new year with joy, love, and happiness.

“The song is geared towards people who love to satisfy their loved ones. It is also to bring back happy moments which are unforgettable,” Aktive notes.

Vybrant Lyrically, an emerging act from the west side of Africa, shares the same opinion. “The African system of music has the taste of party songs,” he opined.

Meanwhile, Marlon has added his voice saying, “Aktive is the one for exploring the music landscape. So, he was browsing through the internet and found out Vybrant Lyrically was interested in his music, referring to his sound as similar to Jamaican Masicka – a well-established artiste.

“As his manager, he (Aktive) brought it to my attention and I had a business talk with the artiste.”

“Within weeks the deal was finalised and the song was recorded to be released before Christmas,” Marlon shares.

Aktive is actively promoting his music at all levels, including social media. He is preparing to get busy with back-to-back community shows in the Christmas season.

Aktive’s song ‘Lean Back Wid It’ was featured in the Reggae Vibes Spotify Playlist Week #89.

His other songs include ‘Don’t Give Up’ and ‘Rock N Move’.
