Jamaican-born US-based Rasta Blacspade, a finalist in the much acclaimed I.R.A.M.A. (International Reggae and Music Awards) 2023 competition, has been digging very deep to find that invaluable piece of reggae gold. And, it seems he has found this treasure with his 6-track ‘I Love You’ EP.

This, a pre-Christmas gift, is stamped and approved by veteran Jamaican producer Dub Chemist, known for his professionalism in using music to educate and entertain.

“This is an EP for everyone because it speaks to issues which affect families across the world. It (‘I Love You’) is re-directing our attitudes which are fundamental to the upliftment of the entire human race.

“If each of us would say, ‘I love You’ to the creator of this world, and to everyone, there would be more peace and not pieces to fix in our daily lives,” Dub Chemist asserts.

Rasta Blacspade, born Wade Douglas, turns our attention to ‘Love Over All Things’, a song that has already caught the attention of the world.

“Part of our problem is our irresistible attraction to vanity over humanity; the love of wealth over mankind. This unfortunately leads us to forget that the pillars of survival are built on love, unity, and peace, not on more weapons of destruction. Instead, we need more hospitals, schools, and factories creating jobs to reduce poverty.”

Other golden tracks for all ears and years are, ‘Hail Jah’, ‘Rasta Live’, ‘I Love You’, ‘Be Like The Sea’, and ‘Africa Love’.

Several of these tracks have been rewarded with chart-hitting status. For example, ‘Rasta Live’ has amassed over 200,000 views and is featured on charts in Europe and the Caribbean, while ‘Africa Love’ is destined to become an anthem in Africa.

Rasta Blacspade has become a voice for the depressed and others who reach out for help. He has contributed to fatherless children in Jamaica by assisting with back-to-school expenses and has pledged to increase this sponsorship by one hundred percent in 2025.

He is one of the most vocal entertainers on issues such as the need for the Government to reduce customs duties in the aftermath of Hurricane Beryl. More emphasis on improving communities for Labour Day Projects, the Importance of Education, and the inclusion of Marcus Garvey teachings in schools.

With the release of ‘I Love You’, all eyes will be centered on Blacspade who is destined for greatness.
