Jamaicans Khadine “Miss Kitty” Hylton and Ky-mani Marley are the 2024 recipients of the prestigious Key to the Region Award presented by Tamarac City Commissioner the Hon. Marlon D. Bolton. According to the Key to the Region Committee, the award is given to individuals who are trailblazers in their fields and who have demonstrated exceptional leadership, commitment, and dedication to public service.
A dedicated champion of women
Miss Kitty, who is a celebrated media personality, attorney, and entrepreneur, was recognised for her advocacy work towards the empowerment of women and cultural preservation. As well, she was recognised for journalism excellence and community engagement.
Spreading the message of love and unity through music
Ky-mani Marley, who is a successful singer and actor, was recognised for social justice advocacy through music and his philanthropic work. Marley’s charitable initiatives include the Love Overall Foundation, a charity created by Ky-mani to “help spread love and awareness and to build an outlet for myself and others to give back to the beautiful community of Jamaica.”
