Welcome to the 'Royal Plus Riddim'

Veteran Jamaican record producer Thug Chemist has vowed to remain in the mix, releasing his latest ‘Royal Plus riddim’.

This is well poised to be one of the most talked about riddim for this year, based on the storm in listership which has hit several countries.

The compilation set has three queens; Magona with ‘Mend and Blend Again’, Pashon Minott with ‘Trim, Trim, Trim’, and Racquel Sellers’ ‘Paradise’.

The three kings are Jahvante Campbell with “Cry Peace,” “Rasta Blacspade with ‘Love Over All Things’, and Itrujah with ‘Mi Nuh Waan See Them’.

According to Thug Chemist, “Everyone keeps talking about Royal, now I have a Plus to what everyone else is offering.”

“I started to think about this project the same week I had a riddim laid by Aston “Family Man” Barrett and other musicians of the Wailers band. This was at Tuff Gong International Studio, some years ago.”

“A friend of mine actually went to the said studio and bounced upon the riddim. Excited, she immediately called reminding me about it and I decided to fly the gates for the project.”

“The first artiste to record on the riddim was Pashon with ‘Trim Trim Trim’. This is a very controversial topic that surrounds our culture and our rights.

“The other artistes on the riddim have their own blend and style and can stand the test of time with very strong universal messages. For example, Jahvante’s ‘Cry Peace’ and Rasta Blacspade’s ‘Love Over All Things’ are trailblazers, educating people all over the world.”

“I feel satisfied that over the years I have been feeding music lovers with substance which will be remembered for decades,” he shares.

Thug Chemist has released numerous riddims. Among the list are ‘Santana’, ‘Fantasy’ and ‘Chemistry’.
