Vision Alexander praises Julian Marley for first Grammy
Multi-talented producer, writer, and artiste, Vision Alexander, who’s still celebrating his recent Grammy Award for his dynamic contribution to Julian Marley and Antaeus Grammy-winning ‘Colors of Royal’ album, continues to shower praises on Julian Marley, the chief architect of this project.
Alexander serves as a song writer alongside industry talents like Alex, Sean Alaric, Prince Products, Mr. Sonic, and Notice.
In an interview with Reggae Vibes, Vision Alexander, born Simon Alexander Mitchell says, “Working with Julian is a dream come through; not everyone gets a chance to work with a legend like Julian.”
“I got a chance to learn from him (Julian) as well as contribute towards the album. So, I would say I got the best of both worlds, and a win is always a blessing.”
“I believe with the Almighty’s grace and guidance another Grammy is in the making, regardless the works have to continue as we make a joyful noise.”
“‘Colors of Royal’ is a great album for music lovers. There is something for everybody in this album by Julian Marley. It shows cases of his many different colours of music and styles, personality and talent.”
“I mostly love how he (Julian) was able to fuse the reggaeton with reggae on this album ’cause at the end of the day Latin music is one heart and love. Together we dominate and make great world music.”
Alexander’s journey to fame began with his ‘Right Time’ single, released in 2018. The song was recognized by Billboard as a Hot Single on their Hot Singles selling charts. He then collaborated with British producer Cardboard Fox on their single, ‘Everything Is Alright’, the song ranking number 17 on the Weekly Top 40 charts.
As a songwriter, he began working with international artistes, including Lila Ike, Jesse Royal, Koffee, Protoje, Romaine Virgo, and Julian Marley.
Vision Alexander’s catalogue of songs includes ‘Right Now’ featuring Jesse Royal, ‘Beautiful’ (single), ‘Right Time’ featuring Jemere Morgan, and ‘Belong 2 The Streets’, a collaboration with Third World Don.
